About her

Rupa “Mithu” Das died on May 14, 2021.  She was very much loved and treasured as a sister, aunt and daughter.  Mithu was a force of nature, testing us with her wit, impressing us with her trenchant commentary and regaling us with unbridled laughter. She leaves us with a hole in our hearts as large as her brilliant smile.  What we wouldn’t give to be able to hug her one more time and to tell her how much she added to our lives.  She was immensely generous.  The affection that she showed her nephew and niece was limitless.  Her sister in law considered her one of her best friends.  Her brother was her partner in vanquishing fate’s demons.

We didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to her directly, so we will think of her as always being just around the corner, pushing us along to be the best us that we can be.
